My rating: 1 of 5 stars
I need to be absolutely clear. I did not like this book, but someone else may love it.
When a coworker of mine let me borrow this book, written by a relative of hers, she knew I was a reader, but we had never really talked about the types of books I like to read.
I never got around to even figuring out what type of romantic book this was, just that it was definitely Christian and the very first scene made me want to chuck the book. So I gave it back.
The fact that it was Christian did not make me quit. The fact that it was a romance did not make me quit. The fact that a male love interest was immediately presented as toxic masculinity is what made me chuck it. According to the blurb, the main character was actually considering this person and in their coffee shop interaction, she thought his behavior charming. I kept putting it down and did not care to pick it back up.
If you have another point of view, certainly share it, but I cannot engage as it has also been over 2 years since I attempted it. I'm just going back and explaining why I rated my DNF's the way I did.
As you were...
