I'm really hoping that Zinnia gets to go on loads more adventures and we're along for the ride. A medical death sentence, an obsession with the Sleeping Beauty tale, being able to be open and honest about just how
mucked up the original tales actually were, what is not to love about this?? Also, the fact that it's a novella should not detract or make people shy away. Making this story a full fledged novel would have been stretching it. Making it a short story would have been a grave disservice to Zinnia's tale.
Also, if any of your reading prompts (if you do those sorts of things like I insanely do), this has the potential to fit under so many themes, but the one that is hardest to accomplish for working folks who can only handle audiobooks? Read in one sitting. This one is perfect for a Saturday afternoon while you're doing meal prep, or weeding the garden. Or if you have a large yard like I do, mowing the grass. Or, if it's the middle of winter... While you're deep cleaning the house on a manic spree. Just if you need some ideas for how to spend 3 hours reading and doing something else at the same time.
